In the Church

The cool earth caresses our feet, and
The moist air surrounds our bodies.

I glance at you, you glance at me,
And I recognize myself in your eyes.

As we join in the hieros gamos,
I celebrate the union of my selves.

As you come to me and through me,
I am certain that I am complete.

Now I can go forth from my center
To assume my place in the world.

Where each man's strength attests
To their reason for being on earth.
